Journal of Residence in the New Hebrides, S.W. Pacific Ocean

This is a journal from 1886 of a Missionary residence in Vanuatu, one of a group of islands in the South Pacific. The missionaries visited three islands, Araga, Maewo, and Opa (Leper Island). Their mission began in July and meant leaving the author's own young family behind. It is a very personal and intimate account of the life of a missionary who spends much time at sea.
