CHAPTER IX

OLD WIFE’S FEARS. OR WHY TRADITIONAL SOCIETY IS MEDIOCRE

Everyone knows that in traditional society, there are eternal difficulties with rotation. Everyone knows, but they can't do anything. They can't do it, and they want to avoid doing anything. This is such a phenomenon, the consciousness awakened by someone from the outside wakes up, can be a writer, analyst, journalist, and the traditional person still sleeps and sleeps. Or they are pretending to. Usually, rotation is understood as the supreme power or tip. In modern political terms, a leader or a political leader does not want to leave. He does not want to leave and even says that he does not see his replacement. This scene is bound to happen. There is no one to put. Who will put after? In general, there is no replacement, anyway. Everyone is waiting, as in the story of Khoja Nasreddin about his Emir and the talking donkey, who will be the first to die.

This phenomenon of the unwillingness of the entire upper layer to resign voluntarily for health reasons or incompetence seems to have been discovered not only by me. In a hierarchical society, as soon as a dignitary, official, or authorized person goes into the shadows, everyone immediately ceases to notice him, even relatives, who still show signs of respect out of habit. There is a shocking change in people. The attitude of the entire surrounding world of traditional people towards the retiree is changing in a bad way. No way! The ruler or even just an official says to himself when he sees such a change of mood. Let me die at my desk and be carried out of the office feet first. I prefer not to be disappointed in my people. I love them so much, and they love me. Even if they love me hypocritically, I am not ready for complete oblivion. And no one is ready. That's why no one really wants to rotate. Everyone wants any kind of love, even hypocritical one's own or someone else's, but love, honor, and self-deception respect.

But this state of reluctance is characteristic of everyone, as I have already said. Even not for the upper class. Even half the conditional nobility and entire the not nobility, such thoughts – fears come. Not even a thought, but just a feeling of fear of losing your place. The lower a person is in the hierarchy, the more indifferent they are to what awaits them. But the higher, the more experiences. But if a person got to the place of honor at least once, he feels it would be better not to avoid leaving it. He wants to privatize his number like in the cadastral list of private property calculating private owner. However, the traditional peoples’ private property was poorly developed. But no one thought to fix the ruler’s rule for eternity except himself (and his entourage because they will also leave with him). Because no one can have private ownership of power, hierarchical people cling to power in all ways, with their fingers, hands, and feet.

But for any honorary position, traditional cling is already mentioned. And even the half-elite and half-half and a quarter of the elite behave inappropriately (in the opinion of a modern young man). This half -, half -, half-elite behaves like the old wife of a rich gentleman. She surrounds her husband with extra care and sudden extra attention. If, of course, a young competitor appears on the horizon. All the other wives of (our conditional) Lord and master in the harem begin to circle around their husband, creating rings of oblivion. To, naturally, he no one did not see outside dance love old wives (and have us, officials, these wife-A. B.). Old experts are covered in fear of seeing the talented rival. They know If they all keep quiet together, no one will notice the talented rival! All pensioners or those who have reached the deadline do this, even without agreeing with other pensioners. It’s just an animal instinct that brings them all together. Have you seen how thoughtfully silent old cows are? They are silent without the agreement of the old cows. Simply stupidly, half an hour. And people keep silent more cunningly.

All traditional people who seem to have settled in cities and have already left the village society by their clothes behave like old wives. Moreover, the position of the jealous old wife is claimed even by collaborators inherited from the last Soviet regime. These journalists, Ministers, engineers. If old wives literally please their Khan, these collaborators are hypocritical servants. They are hypocrites and sit around-they writing about life, corruption, the economy, and even democracy. The hypocrites write that all okay and very well. But this writing is also from fear. They don't really want to be forgotten and kicked out on the street. That's why everything around us, except for the harem of real wives, if there are any at all, is saturated with the mustiness of the same. One might say, wax figures. Everything around screams garbage stagnation. When people come to the garbage dump, throw garbage in the trash cans, and so on day after day, day after day.

CHAPTER X

REFORMS IN RUSSIA AND CHINA

Why reforms in Russia are stalling, at the same time in China, since the mid-’80s, they have brought great success. Gorbachev’s perestroika began almost simultaneously. But what do we see? Do I need to list the difference?

Is liberalism, individual freedom, and adherence to democratic principles that do not suit the Eurasian people, but which the ruling elite of the CIS always looks up to, responsible for such depressing results? Or maybe the Marxist chains still remain on the feet of society, and the accusations of nationalists that the Russian-speaking, the former party-democratic elite is to blame, is not so accurate (in the Republic of Kazakhstan)?

(If anyone understood how the grandsons or great-grandsons of Russian revolutionaries would turn into liberals, it was only one person – the former leader of the revolution, Trotsky. He wrote a detailed work about this somersault, “Betrayed revolution” (“What is the USSR and where it goes” – the old name of this work)). We do not understand how in China, where adherence to Marxism and even Stalinism remain unshakeable concepts, nothing like this happened. The degeneration of the party and the elite did not happen and did not affect the Chinese reforms. Capitalist reforms in China have been successful. There is no close merger-a symbiosis of powerful corrupt officials and businesses in China. If any official is caught in corruption, the punishment will be swift and public. For any money, the corrupt official will not be able to pay off. Billionaires are also executed. If any cog in the law enforcement and judicial system made a wrong turn in the hope of getting a reward from a thief, he would also face execution. All Chinese know this. There are no gaps for fraud. The Communist Party controls the system and, most importantly, the souls of all Chinese, and it is not necessary to scare every screw by unscrewing the head. Chinese comrades from top to bottom resemble enthusiastic fanatics of the common cause. What’s it?

We are not talking about any liberal concessions. There is no such thing in Asia. Maybe because the reforms in Russia are stalling, its elite is not brought up in the Asian spirit of absolutism? It looks like it. There are few Asians in power in Russia. But what about the phenomenon of Stalin?

Russia is also Asia, but Eurasia.

Do Asian methods of strict control, policing, and the Declaration of human rights not combine? Perhaps because of the failure of reforms? This eternal dispute between Slavophils and Westerners.

Perhaps the frames are not the same?

Yes, the frames are not the same. But what does education have to do with it?

Let’s say that in connection with the reforms and industrialization, the masses of former dark peasants who joined the Communist party moved to the cities, received a good education, but they do not sell the state has broken today (not necessarily territorial), do not engage in corruption on an incredible scale, which in itself would indicate their hypocrisy and greed. Are potential corrupt officials held back only by the fact of an inevitable reprisal? (Perhaps because in Russia today, they are nostalgic for the time of Stalin because they are sure that only executions and labor camps solve the problem of theft). Is there a Chinese saying like “a Holy place is never empty”? Most likely, there is something similar. It cannot be to stimulate actions. On the other hand, the great Chinese leap and Cultural Revolution somewhat repeated in a reduced form the Soviet repression and struggled against the enemies of the people. Such events are possible only if the masses of the rural population find themselves in cities and create a stream of popular (rural, traditional) radicalism from their flow. The cult of personality and any deification is associated with ignorance and the need to serve it. However, the Chinese repressions “strike at headquarters” next to Stalin’s are ridiculous. Stalin and Mao both did not actually fight with thieves but with rivals. Just the struggle of any leader finds echoes in the mass heart of the people. And any dictator uses his power to promote this cult of love. Being in power at this moment is the most important thing. Only, for this reason, our losers Kamenev and Zinoviev rushed to challenge the championship, hoping that it would be easier to continue. The main thing in the traditional world is to take power. Then the power will work for the leader. On the other hand, it is more difficult to remove such a leader, and therefore only in a deeply traditional peasant people, the rulers do not resign but leave for physical reasons. In other words, they die in office.

GLOSSARY:

The Zerefs are community people whose behavior conforms to stringent standards. Taboo, morality, law. Their reflection is zero; therefore, their reflexes are rigidly set by the community, authorities, and law.

The Remids are people of honor. Their reflection is average, and they are a conditional elite and conditional authority directing the members of the community – the Zerefs.

The Refags represent the highest form of reflection, that of tradespeople. Selfish reflection is aimed at making a profit from underdeveloped or traditional people.

CHAPTER XI

WHAT IS THERE IN ASIA AND NOT IN EURASIA

Buddhists do not have theft and freebies because of the success of reforms.

“It can be said that a person will find agreement with the deities and the Buddha if his heart is straight and calm if he himself will honestly and sincerely respect those who are above him, and show compassion to those who are below him if he will consider the existing as existing, and the non – existent as non-existent, and accept things as they are. And then a person will find the protection and protection of the deities, even if he does not perform prayers. But if he is not straight and sincere, the sky will leave him, even if he prays every day”

Hojo Gagauz

There are two reasons why China did not liberalize public and political life as the Soviet leaders did. First: the founder of Communist China and the Marxist peasant movement of the same name, Chairman Mao, led the people’s Republic of China for a very long time. So long that if the founder of the USSR, Lenin had lived an equal length of life, the country would not have seen either Stalin or Khrushchev at the helm – the main actors of Stalinism and the thaw. This means that there would be no repression and personality cults typical of the Zeref (peasant) leadership style. There would be no Moscow trials, no persecution by the entire ideological apparatus of the USSR (with a huge budget) of the second leader of the revolution, Trotsky, after Lenin. It is even possible that the Second World war would not have happened, but there would have been a world revolution with a series of coups in the likeness of the modern orange Maidan. And of course, there would not have been a démarche of the two unfortunate ambitions of Zinoviev Kamenev, who fell the first victims of the Stalinist struggle for power. This means that modern corrupt regimes might not exist either if Lenin had the health of a bull. Rampant theft and embezzlement of money by the highest elite of all possible republics, too, might not have happened because Lenin’s “cook woman” in the face of the army, trained and educated the Zeremids, would have been under the control of a reflexive and not shot as a kind the intelligentsia.

And yet, why is there no such proverb in China?

“A holy place is never empty.” Is it because the main ideological base of the inhabitants of the Middle Kingdom is tradition? And its most important Foundation is Confucian morality?

What is Confucianism?

This is strict adherence to paternalistic ethics. First, submission to the state, then reverence for the father and parents, and the third condition is respect for the elders. Yes, it seems to be true. For Confucians, brought up in the spirit of respect for the old, the state of the Emperor is something like a deity. How can you steal from God? However, not everything is so rosy. China has made a rapid, radical leap from an agrarian society to an urbanized industrial one. This means that the population is mixed. No one can monitor ethical standards. This means that it is very difficult for people from their deep villages and from the poor to resist material temptations. Evidence of this is public executions of corrupt officials. There are not enough of them, corrupt officials, they are not so echeloned, they have not penetrated like rust into all authorities and society, but they are there more like exceptions against the backdrop of a rising giant economic monster.

And yet, during the Cultural Revolution and the struggle with its consequences in addition to the overthrow of defense Minister Lin Biao in 1974, there was such a poster: “Criticize Lin Biao, criticize Confucius – this is now the most important thing for the Party, the army and the people. Young schoolchildren and students red guards or” guards” of Mao protected the chief from all party leaders and prominent intellectuals, teachers who were much older than their executioners and rapists. In other words, the revolution and Mao’s experiments in remaking consciousness were not in vain.

What secret do the Chinese, Korean, Singaporean, and Japanese officials not steal? I list ethnic Han Chinese, Chinese from Singapore and Malaysia, and Koreans and Japanese – all participants in the Southeast Asian miracle.

Life is short, but you need to live – help me kami (spirits). Japanese Shintoism preaches no less an ethic of honoring the Emperor and the elders (all peoples of today’s Christians and Muslims of different faiths have reverence for the elders). But Japanese Shintoism differs in that it is very close to liberal norms here and now.

Finally came the moment to explain why the leaders of the Soviets Zinoviev and Kamenev made an attempt to take the wrong path and thus confused the Soviet way (Tao). Not because they were ill-bred nonconformists, any revolutionary is a subverted of the foundations, but not in the case of his party comrade Trotsky. They acted on the principle of I will take that badly lies, and the Holy place is empty does not happen is very popular (also traditional) councils of the people. But the point is that both fellow leaders were not… enlightened.

Who is such a teacher, who is such a Bodhisattva, and finally, who is a Buddha? This is a very rare example of a large and small chariot! No follower of Buddhism, that is, no disciple or just a visitor to the temple, will attempt to take the place of the Buddha. That’s why Buddhists don’t have impostors. But anyone can be a Buddha! The place of an enlightened teacher is a Holy place. That is why power is not needed by anyone who feels that he is achieving enlightenment. In plain language, Buddhists have an ethical norm that relates to the chosen people-geniuses. They will never take power as a thing that doesn’t lie well. Hence, all the reforms in the countries of Southeast Asia are doomed to success.

CHAPTER XII

WHO IS EQUAL TO ALL?

A formation where each subsequent unit is inferior to the link leader can be called a military formation. Unless, of course, there is no peace after the war. But there is one moment. After a war, there is always peace among the neighbors. In this most peaceful period to have time to grow up, the next replenishment of young soldiers. This does not mean that building peace has lost the quality of war. On the contrary, building, peace duplicates military construction surprisingly. These two twins can be called one word – tradition. We will call it the principle of choosing the worst and going for the best tradition. This does not mean that the first ranks of regime officials are better than the last. This means that each subsequent official in the chain is just convenient for the system. Selecting the worst is just convenient. But first, it is convenient for the chief of staff. Each chief of a link chooses the deputy worse than itself and worse than itself on all qualities. So that no one sees the superiority of the deputy in anything, after all, according to the stereotype of war, the more talented should be in front.

So, it turns out that the leader or leader of a traditional community is superior to all who follow him and in war, and not in war, surpasses all at once. He is simply equal to all in one. This is probably where his glory begins. But what man is superior to all the people? Only one superman. Such a person is worthy of love and glory. Especially those who follow him in rank will shout-you are our idol, you are our leader, never was such a bright sun born in the world.

But what would alert him?

The super leader will suspect insincerity and will not even believe that he is above all, cooler than all, stronger than all, that he is equal to all at once. One leader against all. It turns out approximate equality of peacetime: one super-human leader against the rest of the masses.

As for the lowest level where the most unworthy are supposed to live, here they also praise or at least are obliged to praise their immediate superior-flatter him, please him, the rest of the praise of the most important they do by order, on the orders of this chief as subordinates who carry out his instructions. For negligent soldiers, the bureaucrat can suffer a career or even ahead. Let his people officially shout about the sun of the nation and only obey him. And you don’t have to shout anymore. Today, of course, anyone official risks their career and money. If their people are lazy and incomprehensible and do not shout at all, they walk quietly, stupidly, which is significant when all the officials are watching each other. This is how a cult is gradually created, or its mechanism unfolds. And not because the leader is so insecure that he needs an hourly reminder of how great, how beautiful, how smart and visionary he is. This is just the natural mode of hierarchy. And only traditional people support such a regime. Just them and no one else.

Traditional people are always brought up on a cult and on authority. Without teacher’s mentors, there can be no tradition itself, and the meaning of life for traditional people is to serve. Of course, negative selection is also possible. All teachers of the world welcome the appearance of a diligent student. It’s just that the view becomes a way of undeserved reward and then duty in the most unexpected places. From here, the whole society is quickly overgrown with a general, no universal, just total hypocrisy that makes the rest of the world laugh. And forward, too, are selected almost flawed but quirky hypocrites. In a crowd of hypocrites, scoundrels, and hypocrites absolutely impossible to know where the old team knew who first who the second hypocrite. Who in the line is inferior to the first warrior in strength and courage. But to check the combat capability of a group of hypocrites and thieves, any incident is enough. Even a simple economic crisis is enough to find out whether there are no professionals here. The time of trouble is an artificial substitute for some aggressive neighbors from the past, far away. With all their traditions and discipline, such peoples begin to prepare themselves for this objective circumstance-a meeting with a un visible enemy. The crisis insight? No, I can’t see it. But they are not preparing for it together. After all, the worst is already sitting on even worse than himself; if the worst is ahead, it does not mean that he is the best. It is the best in adaptation, traditional servility, mimicry. Otherwise, nobody will be able to climb up the steps of capacity. There is a general sense of unease in the air. More than that, fear. And even the band of hypocrites and thieves is not sure where the punishment for lying and opportunism will come from. The entire population does not expect anything good, although inertia praises its immediate and formally first leader. There is no war, but there is anxiety. There’s something wrong here.

It would seem that to get out of this anxiety situation and believe in the future, and you just need to choose the worthy ones. These men are responsible for people. But where can we get them now? The problem of selecting the worst for fulfilling the will of the “best” (for today, conditionally the best) creates a depraved and cunning population. Each of the traditional crowd wants to get somewhere higher and, for this purpose, assumes a submissive appearance. The trick becomes pervasive and widespread. All are cunning and, at the same time, dissatisfied with something. Is this culture? This is culture. Exemplary fathers of families begin to raise compliant and cunning sons already in their families. The entire system begins to reject any deviation from the norm, even during rest, to avoid wasting time. The entire regime seems to be mobilizing. Any alternatives are rejected and pursued, perhaps not even literally but carefully. Everything superfluous is cut off. There is a struggle in all areas of the battle with invisible intruders as if it is the struggle of a traditional person with his shadow. It’s hard to find a cat in a black room. There seems to be no war, but the fight is on. At the moment of praising the ruling elite both officially and informally, when no one is watching, everyone is watching themselves as if they are walking in an invisible line of spies. Wherefrom, they will take decent people? The whole regime works against them. The really decent ones disappear as a species. They are decent inside, but everything is in the outer shell. Everyone tries to get rid of such an acquaintance. Being not decent here is quite consistent with the only discipline, hypocrites huddles together to collectively express contempt for the white crow. Even parents may regret at some point that they have a decent (actually decent) son and not a respected scoundrel. And I would be a hypocrite like everyone else. Maybe I would please the old people, my career would be set, and people could boast of knowing me.

What’s happening?

And what happens is what happens in any war. And not in the war as we see, either. When there is no danger and no need to take risks, the traditional system resembles itself but Vice versa. The worst are selected to get even worse. But the traditional system and education cannot be canceled.

You need the will. Who?

Think about it. The ruler, of course. He is the only king and God here. These people, therefore, very much depend on whether they will be lucky with the autocratic ruler or not.
