The Shield of Love

The Shield of Love is a modern Cinderella story of a beautiful girl named Charlotte Fox-Cordery. It tells how an English gentleman named John Dixon was first drawn to her because of pity. This pity became enhanced by affection and later grew into love. It's an incredible tale with characters that complement each other and delight the readers throughout the novel. English novelist B. L. Farjeon's lucid and straightforward writing style adds to the story's charms.
