"Spring notes from Tennessee" is a travel diary from the 1890s, created in Chattanooga. The author speaks about the places of the Civil War battles, the veterans from both sides of the war, the people he met, the climate of the land he lived in, the bird migration, and more. Interestingly, the book became one of the first accounts of the birds around Chattanooga.
