The American Horsewoman

'The American Horsewoman' is a guidebook on horse riding for lady horse-riders. Ohio horse-woman Elizabeth Karr being guided and aided by her own experience in horseback riding, aims to write, in plain and comprehensive language, and in as concise a manner as is compatible with a clear understanding of her subject, all that she deems it essential for a horsewoman to know. Topics covered include: saddling, mounting and dismounting, the appropriate wear for riding, as well as a brief history of horse riding.
