This work revolves around the Acadians, whose descendants now reside in the Teche Country, also known as the Land of Evangeline. These individuals led a simple and pure life, with an intense devotion to their religion and an unwavering faith in their God. They had an unparalleled love for one another, which contributed to their strength and perseverance during their journey from Canada after being expelled by the British to their chosen land along the banks of Bayou Teche. Their incredible fortitude and resilience are a testament to their unique history.
