'Through stained glass' is a novel written by George Agnew Chamberlain. The story begins with a family that highlights the mother and wife of the household, Ann Sutherland Leighton, who was a religious person from a family background in horse-racing. Her husband, the Reverend Orme Leighton, was a religious man who also knew horse-flesh. He won over Ann's father by demonstrating his knowledge of horse anatomy. Ann accompanied her husband to a far country due to personal loyalty, not because of his dreams of a new state, but in search of peace to forget the hardships and losses she had suffered.
