Love and Social Life

Your 7th house of love, romance and social activities is a house of power until July 26. Thus there is great focus here. Focus tends to bring success.

However, love is complicated this year. You’ve recently come through some very stressful love years in 2011 and 2012, perhaps even traumatic years. Many of you divorced. Relationships that survived those years will probably last forever. Although 2013 was a little easier in the love department, it was nothing special.

If you are just coming out of a divorce, you need some quiet time. There is no need to jump into a new relationship too quickly – though perhaps you want to. Uranus in your sign is not especially good for marriage or committed relationships. Uranus craves personal freedom. Too much personal freedom doesn’t go well with a committed relationship, which by definition is a ‘limitation’ of freedom. Those involved romantically with Aries need to understand this. Give them as much space as possible so long as it isn’t destructive.

You are very socially active until July 26. You tend to be aggressive and go after what you want. You are creating the social life that you want. You are popular and well liked and you go out of your way for others. This is good. But will this lead to marriage? Unlikely.

Love affairs, though, are very favourable this year – especially after July 16. However, these are more in the nature of entertainment than serious love. My advice is to enjoy them for what they are without projecting too many expectations on to them.

Those working on their first or second marriages are not likely to marry this year. They will date and have fun, but most likely will not marry. Those working on their third marriage, however, will have a serious love opportunity in the latter half of the year. September looks especially good for that.

With Venus, a fast-moving planet, as your love planet there will be many short-term trends in love that are better discussed in the monthly reports.

Parents or parent figures who are unattached have good romantic opportunities this year. It will be a good social year for them. Children of marriageable age have strong love opportunities in September. Those already married are having their marriages tested this year (this has been going on for a few years now). Single siblings (or sibling figures in the life) are not likely to marry this year. Married siblings (or sibling figures) will have their marriages tested late in the year – after December 24. Grandchildren of marriageable age are having a ‘status quo’ kind of year. Those who are married will tend to stay married; singles will tend to stay single.

The planet Neptune is always radiating a refining, elevating, spiritualizing kind of force. But now that Neptune is in his own sign and house – Pisces and your 12th house – his power is greatly magnified. You are feeling this. Many of the things that appealed to you in the past have lost their appeal. Many of the things that you considered important are not that important any more. A new and more powerful energy is coming into you. If you are already on the spiritual path you are making greater progress now. You are having dramatic spiritual experiences and revelations. Your spiritual faculties – soul faculties – are opening up and becoming stronger. Those of you who are spiritual practitioners are much busier and more in demand than ever before. More and more people are interested in your work.

Those not yet on the spiritual path will most likely enter onto it this year or in future years. Neptune will be in Pisces for the next 11 or so years. The Cosmos has its way of bringing you into the fold. In some cases people have vivid Technicolor dreams that are real but don’t make sense to the rational mind. In some cases there is this vague feeling of dissatisfaction that pervades the worldly life. Though the person attains the things or goals that were thought to make them happy, they find that they are not happy. They have a feeling of disillusionment. Sometimes a problem child brings them into the fold. They are forced to examine things more deeply, to study things to find answers. Sometimes tragedy does it. It is different for each person.

When Neptune – the ruler of the highest heaven – is active, the things of this world seem tawdry and cheap – pale imitations of what is possible and doable – which is the cause for the inner dissatisfaction that many experience. Let this feeling be seen as a call to deeper and higher knowledge and not as an excuse to overindulge in alcohol or drugs.

Synchronistic experiences will increase these days. Those on the spiritual path will understand them completely, while those not on the path will scratch their heads. You’ll think of someone and they call you. You’ll feel your phone buzz in your pocket only you don’t have your phone in your pocket, but when you get home you’ll see that someone messaged you at the exact time that you felt the buzz!

Saturn is still in your 8th house of transformation and regeneration for practically all of the year ahead (until December 24). This shows a need to re-order the sex life and the use of the sexual energies. Better less sex but quality sex than many mediocre experiences.

January promises to be a hectic, fast paced but successful month. Last month you entered a yearly career peak and it is still underway in the month ahead. You are in the noon time of your year. This is a time to act on your career dreams and goals – to act in a physical kind of way. Plans made during the night time of your year are now ready to be implemented. Eighty per cent of the planets are moving forward this month, which is another indication of a fast paced, active kind of month.

Family is important to you – Jupiter has been in your 4th house of home and family for many months and will be there for many more months – but this is a time when you can (and should) shift your attention to your career and worldly goals. This is the best way to serve your family right now.

The main challenge this month is health. Hyperactivity can be overdone. Yes, act and succeed, but try to schedule more rest periods into your days, and perhaps a massage or two. Your health planet, Mercury, is ‘out of bounds’ from the 1st to the 8th. This indicates that you are going outside the norm in your health regime and your approach to health. It seems necessary. You need something new. When it comes to health you are ‘thinking outside the box’. This is true in your work as well. The demands of the job take you outside your normal boundaries.

This month enhance the health (until the 11th) by giving more attention to the spine, knees, teeth, bones, skin and overall skeletal alignment. Regular back and knee massage will be good, and give the knees more support when exercising. A visit to the chiropractor or osteopath is a good idea. After the 11th give more attention to the ankles and calves. These should be massaged regularly, and support the ankles more when you exercise.

Job seekers also need to ‘go out of bounds’ in their search for work, although they seem successful this month.

Venus, your love and financial planet, started to move forward on January 31. This is good news for both love and finance. There is more mental clarity on these issues and your decisions should be better.

There’s more good news. Your health is much improved over last month. You still need to be watchful, but overall energy is better than last month. (The improvement began on January 20.) Continue to enhance the health by giving more attention to the ankles and calves as we have mentioned. The feet are important from the 1st to the 13th. Mercury goes retrograde from the 6th to the end of the month, so avoid making drastic changes to the health regime or diet during this period. Study things more carefully, and avoid making major health decisions too. Time will show what needs to be done.

Like last month, love and money are high on your agenda. This is another positive. You are focused here, the desire is there, and, this is 90 per cent of the battle. We get what we focus on.

In finance money seems to come from the career – perhaps you have a pay rise or a promotion. You have the financial favour of those in authority in your life, and your good professional reputation aids the bottom line. Good relations with the government seem important. Money can come from government payments or the favour of government officials. Venus, your financial planet, in the sign of Capricorn is also a positive. It shows sound financial judgement and a good practical sense. You are taking a long-term perspective on wealth and seem willing to engage in disciplined savings and investment regimes. Venus has been in Capricorn, your 10th house, since the beginning of the year. So, as we mentioned, you have been practical in love, and perhaps a bit hard headed – perhaps a bit cold and calculating. But this is about to change. On March 6 Venus enters Aquarius and changes the energy of your love life. Power and position become less important, while friendship becomes more important. You want to be friends with the beloved as well as lovers. Singles will find love opportunities through groups, group activities and organizations. The main headline this month is the two eclipses that are happening. This ensures change and volatility. Generally we are not comfortable with this while they happen, but the end result tends to be good.

The Lunar Eclipse of the 15th occurs in your 7th house of love and marriage and will test your love life and partnerships. This is when the dirty laundry comes out and needs to be dealt with. Your spouse, partner or current love is likely to be more temperamental, and often with good reason; there are dramas happening in their lives. Family members are also more temperamental. Be more patient with them. If there are flaws in your home, now is when you find out and can make any corrections needed.

The Solar Eclipse of the 29th occurs in your money house. This brings financial changes. Since you seem prosperous this month these changes might indicate a need to adjust your thinking in a more positive way. Perhaps you have been too conservative or too pessimistic about things. Speculations, though, should be avoided during this eclipse period. Children and children figures in your life need to be kept out of harm’s way. Let them spend more quiet time at home. Venus in Pisces in your 12th house is very nice for love. Venus is in her most ‘exalted’ position, and the love energy is capable of its highest expression. The upper half of your Horoscope has been strong all year thus far. In fact it will be strong for the entire year ahead. You will always have at least four planets above the horizon. But last month, on the 7th, the planetary power started to shift from the upper half to the lower half of your Horoscope. Health has been reasonable the past few months, but on June 21 you need to start paying more attention here. Your energy levels are not up to their usual standard. Things that you have always done with no problem might not be that easy during this period. You should do your best to maintain high energy levels. You can enhance your health by paying more attention to the diet until the 18th, and to the lungs, arms, shoulders and respiratory system after then. Regular shoulder massage is always good for you but especially after the 18th. Emotional harmony is especially important until the 18th, and women should give more attention to the breasts until then too.

Your health planet, Mercury, goes retrograde on the 7th, so avoid making major health decisions or changes then. This is a time for study and review. The health of family members seems a concern until the 18th.

This month and next month, the lower half of your Horoscope will be at its maximum strength for the year. Thus, as we mentioned, give more attention now to the family and to your emotional well-being. The two planets involved with your career – Saturn and Pluto – are both retrograde this month, which is another reason to shift attention away from the career.

Retrograde activity is increased this month – 40 per cent of the planets are moving backwards from the 9th onwards. This is the maximum limit for the year – we never go above 40 per cent this year. The pace of life slows down. Though you like a fast-paced lifestyle, this is perhaps good. You need to slow down – especially after the 21st.

On May 29, Venus moved into your money house, which is a good signal for wealth. She will be there until the 23rd. Venus in Taurus – in her own sign and house – is stronger than usual. This indicates that your earning power is strong, and your financial judgement is sound and practical. This tends to prosperity. Venus will activate an eclipse point (the Solar Eclipse of April 29) on the 5th and 6th. This brings some financial disturbance and change – perhaps an unexpected expense. But this is short lived. Make the changes that need to be made. You know what they are. When the dust settles, prosperity resumes. Be more patient with the beloved on the 5th and 6th as well.
