Elements of Physiophilosophy

Phisiophilosophy is a system of natural philosophy expounded by Lorenz Oken and designed to set forth a natural system of universal relations. German naturalist, botanist, biologist, and ornithologist Lorenz Oken (1779-1851) stated that there are fundamental units of life, which he called «infusoria.» The first principles of this work in his small pamphlet entitled Grundriss der Naturphilosophie, der Theorie der Sinne und der darauf gegrundeten Classification der Thiere(1802). In the pamphlet, he stated that the Animal Classes are basically nothing else but a representation of sense-organs and that they must be arranged in accordance with them. Alfred Tulk's present translation exists due to the fact that its original translation had encountered a somewhat kindred spirit and evoked therein the desire to generate other participants.
