PREFACE
“THE SYSTEM of Academician M. Yu. MIANIE”
This System was developed by researcher and Spiritual Teacher M. Yu. Mianie and represents a modern Teaching (it examines all factors influencing a person, their development, and destiny). The development of the core ideas, the accumulation and structuring of information, and the creation of a unified system of esoteric knowledge were carried out primarily between 1993 and 1998.
The Teaching is based on a synthesis of existing knowledge and the author’s own fundamental research. Existing knowledge includes science (logic, psychology, control theory, etc.) and esoteric teachings that have yielded the greatest practical results in this area (classical yoga, Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism, etc.). However, the majority of the System’s knowledge (2/3) was obtained through direct interaction with the hierarchy of Light, the use of fundamentally new logical methods of information processing, and its experimental verification.
The System’s primary focus (the primary goal of its creation) is the individual, their maximally effective development (intellectual, spiritual, energetic) and self-realization (work, service, personal life, shaping the environment). The second primary goal is the maximum possible contribution to the unification of all positive forces on Earth, the realization of the Creator’s ideals (Love, Goodness, Justice, Strength, Non-violence and Development, Beauty, Harmony, Creation, Hierarchy), and the eradication of all manifestations of Evil (ignorance, lack of spirituality, poverty, disease, etc.).
The “System of Academician M. Yu. Mianie” includes the Teaching (theoretical foundations, training programs) and the organizational goals and objectives implementing it through the international Project “Spiritual Revival of Man and Society.”
The Project’s primary goal is to unite all positive forces in Society for creative activity, creating the conditions for a transition to a new level of development beyond democracy.
The Ultimate Goal is to introduce Spirituality (highest values, worthy goals, strong personal qualities, Honor, Nobility, Justice, etc.) into all key areas of society: Science, Education, Politics, Business, Culture, Social Movements, the Media, and the interaction of spiritual organizations.
The core idea of the Project is to introduce new standards of Spirituality in general and across various spheres of human activity based on the formation of a unified understanding among people, regardless of their national, religious, or other affiliation, based on their attitude toward universal human values and the degree to which they are realized in life.
The most important tasks for the System’s immediate development include gaining scientific recognition in the following areas: psychology (fundamentally new generalized criteria for assessing a person: level of development, positivity); social development theory (allowing not only to describe the past but also to construct mathematical models of future social structures); valeology (high school should prepare people for life, not just for the role of a performer); and others. We invite organizations and interested individuals to collaborate in the fields of science and esotericism.
HUMAN DEVELOPMENT SYSTEMS
“O most wise one, the tree of knowledge is infinite, but how can I find the branch that leads to the very top?”
Question of the King to the Master
There are about 2,000 teachings (systems of knowledge that answer all vital human questions) and 200,000 spiritual theories (answer individual questions) on Earth. Which is closer to the Truth?
1. Existing knowledge systems
In habitual thinking the main systems of knowledge (religion, science, esotericism) are most often opposed to each other, while logically they are inextricably interconnected. To understand this relationship, let us consider the progressive development of human knowledge about himself and the surrounding world in the direction of their complication, transition from one level to another and the role of religion, science and esotericism in this process, preliminarily introducing the definitions of the latter.
Religion is a system of knowledge about man and the surrounding world as a whole, transmitted, as a rule, through revelations from above, and characterized by initial techniques of spiritual development (faith, prayer, worship of authorities). It is oriented mainly at the first level of people and dominated at the initial stages of society development, being one of the main factors uniting and regulating the norms of life for it along with power.
Science is a system of knowledge mainly about the manifested (material) world, based on logic, physical experimentation, economic expediency and, as a rule, atheism. When it gains strength, it comes into confrontation with religion (transition to democracy) and at the moment it occupies the leading place in terms of influence on society, explaining all processes taking place in this world through physical laws and relationships through psychology.
Esotericism is a system of knowledge about man, methods of his development from the 3rd to the 8th level, God, manifested and unmanifested worlds, based on informal logic, subjective experimentation and cognition of spiritual laws through direct interaction with the subtle world. It gives a person the maximum possible power (up to the disclosure of siddhis), and when it gets the dominant influence, the conditions for the transition to a new type of society (spiritual rebirth, aristocracy of the spirit) will be created.
Most likely, these definitions require clarification, but they are enough to come to the following conclusion basic systems of knowledge are not equivalent, but reflect different stages of human cognition, are oriented to people of different levels and realize different goals (religion — 1st stage, the beginning of spiritual development; science — 2nd stage, the material world, the development of intelligence; esotericism — 3rd stage, the integrated development of all spiritual, energy and other abilities of man).
2. Basic doctrines
The ultimate goal of the article is to help a person to choose his own way of development, giving the necessary system of evaluations of existing directions, schools, etc. for this purpose. The first step we have made, we have established the connection of the main systems of knowledge with human levels, now we will make the second step — we will choose from the multitude of existing teachings only those that are closest to the understanding of the Truth, so they are able to provide a person with maximum opportunities for development.
For this purpose, we will use the analysis not of the number of followers (quantity), but of the results achieved by the representatives of certain teachings (quality). In this case we will get an interesting picture. Despite the huge number of doctrines and spiritual theories, only some of them, and each doctrine in its own sphere, allowed to achieve the highest possible indicators of development. The main ones are: philosophy of science, classical yoga and Buddhism.
Philosophy of science — logic, methods of cognition of the material world, on the basis of which the technical progress of society is carried out. This philosophy had the greatest influence on the development of man’s intellect, but did not make him happy. Esoteric teachings have not yet become generally accessible due to their complexity and very high requirements for a person, but only they purposefully develop his superpowers and form the maximum possible feeling of happiness.
Classical yoga — at the moment the only teaching that gives practically maximum results in the development of human energy abilities (intactness of the body, energy management, meditative techniques of communication with the higher world, others). Buddhism — is esoteric teaching for a smaller part of its followers (for the rest it is a religion), is the basis of the most part of martial arts (maximum body control abilities) and reveals many other abilities.
At the same time, world religions and many esoteric teachings are based on the same spiritual laws aimed at the realization of the Creator’s ideals (love, goodness, justice, etc.). Thus, mass directions do not give high results, while the mentioned teachings have existed for a long time and still give unsurpassed results. The teachings of the future are likely to be even stronger, capable of uniting all existing teachings into a single whole.
3. Analysis of development systems
However, yoga and Buddhism in pure form are extremely rare (only about a dozen of the strongest schools) and have many secondary branches. But for development it is necessary to choose the direction that is available, so let us consider the classification of teachings according to their levels (determines the ceiling to which the system is potentially able to bring a person) and systematicity (determines the reality and effectiveness of achieving the set goals — the level of human development).
Levels of teachings — defined by the purpose of their existence and the development techniques used, correspond to the levels of human development. Teachings of the energy level — aimed at the development of maximum energy power, using techniques of self-infusion, meditation and various ways of working with energy. Teachings of mental levels — are directed on formation of ideal consciousness, use also techniques of reflections. Teachings of transmutational levels — aimed at the creation of God-man on Earth.
These levels allow for more detailed categorization and, with a normal approach, the transition from one level of teaching to another occurs naturally. Unfortunately, in many schools there are rigid blocks (prohibitions) on transition to the next levels of development. For example, in religions — meditation, astrology and many other things (energy level) are considered to be “from the devil”, at the same time in meditative schools the development of the mind (mental level) is considered to be “clogging” of consciousness, etc.
Systematic — is defined by the presence of a well-defined development program and the completeness of the techniques used. For example, in yoga, martial arts and a number of other schools, classes are carefully planned and scheduled for many years in advance, which allows their followers to achieve significant results. On the other hand, there are directions where students are mostly left to themselves (Rerikh societies, Sri Chinmoy’s school), which considerably complicates their development.
Completeness implies the integrated use of all existing developmental techniques (physical exercises, self-meditation, meditation, work with information) and proportionate, step-by-step impact on all human components. For example, in integral yoga, energy development is realized with the help of one basic technique (contemplation), with influence only through one chakra (sahasrara, downward flow of force). Similarly in Sri Chinmoy’s school (meditation on love, inclusion of atman, the path of the heart). Therefore, the more complete the methodology, the more effective it is.
4. Additional criteria
Development is one of the main karmic tasks of a person in any given life. The choice of the path of development requires responsibility and appropriate knowledge, if, of course, a person takes it seriously and does not attend various schools for the sake of entertainment, escape from life, etc. Therefore, let us consider a number of other criteria that allow us to evaluate the possible effectiveness of development in the existing esoteric schools (there are many misconceptions here).
Completeness of realization of karmic tasks is the first additional characteristic of a teaching, it is determined by the correspondence of its target settings to the basic life goals of a person (work, personal life, environment, development, feeling of happiness) set by spiritual laws. Teachings that ignore any of these goals contradict the laws of the subtle world and even sometimes become antisocial. Orientation on achieving all these goals makes the teachings more complex and effective.
The next indicator is demandingness or omnivorousness. Demandingness is based on understanding of regularities of development of the inner world of a person and therefore assumes fulfillment by listeners of clearly defined conditions (discipline, other personal qualities) when entering an esoteric school. Omnivorousness speaks about the absence of the specified knowledge, leads to getting into the group of persons who pull back the development of other listeners.
The third additional characteristic that often hurts people’s ego is whether relationships are hierarchical or democratic. All schools that give high performance are built on the principles of hierarchy, on the basis of respect of listeners to the teacher and older students (according to ability, not age), learning from them. Esoteric schools with democratic relationships between the master and trainees create a pleasant, friendly atmosphere, but make learning much more difficult.
The last additional indicator is clarity in regulating relationships, resolving conflicts, problems, etc. Its presence allows to quickly and timely solve various issues and remove the contradictions arising in the group. Its absence generates dissatisfaction leading to tension in the group, which, of course, does not contribute to effective learning. Clarity may not satisfy individual trainees, but it aims to build the group as a cohesive unit. So, if you understand or feel the need for development, the following rules may help you.
1. There are no ideal esoteric schools nowadays, each of them has its own advantages and disadvantages. But since development in the system is in most cases more effective than independent development, it is necessary to choose the best available school.
2. The strongest schools, which give a person the highest possible abilities, make the highest possible demands on him: internal discipline, getting rid of all delusions and shortcomings, observing the rules of the system, etc.
3.The main criterion determining the strength of an esoteric school is its level, which is determined by the level of goals and methods used (systematicity). Additional criteria are completeness of realization of karmic tasks, exactingness, hierarchy and clarity.
WHAT TO BELIEVE?
“God forbid you to live in a period of change,” say the Chinese. But we are already unlucky, and it is at the stage of transition from the communist past to an incomprehensible future that you and I find ourselves. And since we are in such a time, there is nowhere to go — it is necessary either to find some normal way out of this situation or to live, to put it mildly, not very cheerful life.
Therefore, the purpose of this article is to identify the most significant internal and external human problems, analyze their causes and try to find the most worthy solution.
1. Main problems and their causes
It is known that human consciousness in one form or another reflects the processes taking place in society, so let us try to characterize them. The following picture emerges: what we observe can be called a struggle between two competing ideologies — communist and democratic. Both rivals have their advantages and disadvantages, but judging by the latest results of this struggle, their forces are approximately equal. And as long as this confrontation continues, the society will not be able to move from the dead point and will degrade further, dragging millions of people to the bottom.
One of the most harmful consequences of the ongoing struggle of ideologies is the destruction of the perceptions, goals, ideals and values that were in force in society and man without their adequate replacement. This deprives many people of understanding the meaning of their lives, undermines the foundations of spirituality and generates a huge charge of negative energies. Under such conditions, it is quite natural that far from the best attributes of democracy appear on the stage in the main roles: venality, thirst for profit, the cult of violence (crime) and sensual pleasures (sex, food, comfort). Sadly, if this is taken as a basis, then man will not be very different from an animal.
As a result of all this, many people have lost respect for themselves and do not know what else to strive for besides survival, what to believe in and what to count on in the near future. High feelings and the best qualities disappear from relationships: love is replaced by sex, loyalty and friendship — by profit, respect — by flattery, sincerity — by deceit… People’s attitude to politics and power smoothly flows from distrust, criticism and rejection to absolute indifference. Therefore, it is quite natural that the increase in drug addiction, prostitution and the growing number of suicides in the country is no longer surprising to anyone.
The situation is aggravated by the fact that modern science (in Western countries, among others) is mainly focused on the development of technology and economy, and pays little attention to the research of Man himself. The same can be said about the education system as a whole — it gives mainly professional training and does not teach a person the art of life. Neither in school nor in higher education they teach how to choose life goals, how to understand and evaluate oneself, how to make friends, create a family, how to establish strong positive relationships, how to make a career, etc.
2. Possible path
It is clear to most people that effective development of society is possible only if there is a clearly defined goal — a model of society and the dominance of the ideology corresponding to it. Neither democracy nor communism can fully claim this role, because, on the one hand, they are approximately equal in strength, and on the other hand, they have largely exhausted their potential and are unable to solve all human problems. Therefore, the most probable way out of the current situation is the creation of a new social theory capable of defeating any of the current ideologies and uniting political and other forces of society on its basis.
Let us try to formulate the requirements for such a theory. The society of the future cannot allow a person to get answers to the most important questions of life “on the street”, from any dubious sources or from uneducated parents. Such questions include the following: how a person is formed, what his abilities and destiny depend on, how to organize his life in the best possible way, and many others. All this should become the subject of deep scientific research and, most likely, in the center of the new social theory will be the knowledge about Man himself, ways of his development and self-realization.
Knowledge is primary. They form human consciousness, his perceptions, aspirations, goals and abilities. People, by virtue of their abilities, choose power, establish all social, including economic relations. The goods that society creates are the final result of its organization and activity. Therefore, firstly, attempts to improve the economy without a qualitatively new level of knowledge, without changing the person and the system of relationships in general, will not be able to lead to significant progress in society. Secondly, the society of the future, realizing these regularities, in the interests of its development should put the knowledge about Man, his education and upbringing as a strong, socially active personality in the first place.
However, all this is in the possible future. What should a person do now? — At least what depends directly on him: self-realization in the family, at work, in relationships with others. In many respects this is enough to make one’s life rich and happy. But this requires appropriate knowledge and abilities. And since we have not received them before, now this knowledge and abilities should be gained independently through our own cognition and development. However, for this purpose we will have to give up many illusions: that our ideas about the world are flawless, that the state will take care of us, that our own weaknesses, foolishnesses and mistakes will be constantly forgiven, etc.
