Издание рассчитано как на специалистов, так и на широкий круг читателей.The latest issue 3–4, 2016 of «The Slavic Almanakh» is devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The issue, which refl ects the main directions of scientifi c research in the fi eld of Slavic studies, contains articles and materials on topical problems of the Slavic peoples, history of Slavic studies, history of culture, literature, ethno-linguistics and folklore, Slavic languages and dialects. The chronological coverage is quite vast, from the Middle Ages to the modern times. The book may be of interest not only to the scholars, but to a wider circle of readers as well.
