Thomas Storrow Brown was a Canadian journalist, writer, orator, and revolutionary. Being born and spending most of his life in Lower Canada, now Quebeck, Brown took an active part in the social and political life of the province. He advocated for both social and political reform, supporting the concept of responsible government. With time, he developed radical views and took an active part in the Lower Canada Rebellion in 1837. He was a leader of the military faction of the rebel group, the Société des Fils de la Liberté, that openly advocated revolution. The presented here book presents his memoirs and analysis of those events.
